CCTV in Bradford, fitted with zero cables on show.

I’m Mitu. I fit Hikvision cameras, alarms and electric gates for homes and businesses round Bradford. The cable goes inside your wall, not down the outside of it.

cables on show.
That’s the whole idea.

Zero cables on show. Most cameras come with a white cable clipped down the wall. Mine don’t.

The quick way is to drill next to the camera, clip the cable along the stone, round the window and in through the frame. It works. It also looks like an afterthought, and anyone with a pair of snips can reach it.

I take the cable through the wall cavity instead. In behind the camera base, out next to the recorder. From the street you see a camera and nothing else.

Hidden

One of mine. The camera under the soffit, the cable inside the wall, nothing on the brick.
A drill bit going into the mortar line on a stone wall, next to a window frame
One hole, on the mortar line, where the camera base will cover it.

Where the cable actually goes

  1. One hole, behind the camera.

Measured before the drill comes out. The camera base covers it, so there’s nothing to see and nothing to seal afterwards.

  2. Down through the cavity.

That’s the gap between your outer and inner wall. The cable drops through there instead of across your stonework.

  3. Out by the recorder.

It comes through indoors next to where the recorder sits, and gets tidied there as well.

Building or renovating? Get me in at first fix. CCTV, alarm, network, Sky and fibre cables all go in before the plasterer, and you never see any of them again.

What I fit, set out the way I’d quote it

  1. CCTV installation

This is most of what I do. Hikvision cameras, a recorder, and the app set up on your phone so you can check in from anywhere. Houses, shops, units and new builds.

  2. Intruder alarms

  4. Electrical

The supporting work that goes with a security job: floodlights, power for cameras and alarms, extra sockets, outdoor power.

  5. TV mounting

The TV on the wall, the sockets and the data point behind it, and every cable inside the wall. Media walls and in-ceiling speakers while the wall is open.

Cabling Inside the wall. Zero on show.

  6. Electric gates

Gate motors, with an intercom and a monitor indoors so you can see who’s there before you open up.

Something not on the sheet? Ring me on 07540 049136 and ask. If there’s a cable in it that wants hiding, there’s a fair chance I do it.

I fit Hikvision. One make, fitted over and over.

I don’t carry a bit of everything. Sticking to one make means I know which camera suits which wall, how the recorder wants setting up, and what the app will and won’t do.

PTZ
A camera that turns and zooms, for when one spot needs to cover a lot. Up on a chimney stack, say.
Hik-Connect
The app. Live view and playback on your phone. I set it up on the day and show you round it.
